Doing lines

The natural kind

This is not harkening back to the 1980s, Pablo Escobar and Studio 54.

The lines I’m musing about are all around us. Of late I see them everywhere though of course they’ve always been and will be. The change is that I’ve opened my eyes, not that I’m seeing something new.

These lines don’t create frames, rectangles, or space enclosed. They course, divide, and angle, continuation without a dead end. They elongate.

Humans are dots. Geometry says connecting two of us makes a line. Natural order expresses differently: Dots are not necessary, they are replaced by fluid forces.

But dots can appreciate, especially around this peninsula, where lines are always showing up -- then shifting.
