Onto year six
With thanks, and an ask
Missing birthdays and anniversaries never is a good move, but at least in this case I haven’t hurt anyone’s feelings (except maybe my own).
Yes, A Cape Cod Voice should have celebrated five full years in mid-April with six digital candles blown out, an opportunity to express gratitude, and an attempt to pat myself on the back.
Here’s proof it’s never too late.
To all of you who placed faith in me, became paid subscribers, stuck with me or joined me since 2021, my grateful thanks. I hope I’ve earned your trust, and investment.
You make what I do possible, local journalism possible. And I can say with some pride that I haven’t missed a weekly deadline in all that time, adding extra columns along the way as moments and events suggest.
Should you like to do a little more, you can send a gift subscription to someone you think might enjoy the Voice, or upgrade yours to “sustaining” status and send a few more bucks my way. I won’t turn down added generosity, though what you’ve already offered fills me with appreciation.
To all of you who have become free subscribers over the years, again my thanks for building a stronger, broader readership and sense of community. To you I add a request:
Join the merry band of paid subscribers. Consider it a win-win; an obvious win for me, a win for you to get that warm fuzzy feeling from supporting journalistic value. And if you’re harboring guilty feelings about getting something special for nothing, you can put that to rest.
And now, onto more explorations in year six — though it already has begun!
Best regards,
Seth
