Very thoughtful and painful stories that are easy forgotten. Thank you for the well written reminder

Way back about forty years ago now, my dad (who lived in Brewster) got fascinated by "ancient ways" that he somehow found on old maps. He'd go out in the woods and try to find them. We walked with him once and found ourselves somewhere in dense oak woods in Brewster, and came upon a deserted geodesic structure, that we thought might have been abandoned by hippies or squatters. It was slightly eerie, and we mused over who might have lived there and how determined they must have been to get away from it all. I've somehow never forgotten this find. I don't recall any very clear tracks, I think there was only the bare trace of a footpath -- and it must have been a JOB indeed to lug much of anything way out there. Not "ancient" at all, I realize, but still haunting. Sally Buffington

Every time I turn onto Old King's Highway I can't help but think about time compressed layer by layer. Thanks so much for putting into words the mismanaged thoughts swirling around my head. It is a gorgeous piece.

Seth, This moves my heart. It is so beautifully descriptive of things I love about the Cape. Thank you.
