Oh how beautiful is this?! I remember Elliott's column in the Voice so vividly, it was one of my favorites. As a daughter who walked the horrific road of dementia and the memory care unit with my Dad I know his family loves this tribute even more because though he may not remember y'all's visit, they are so happy you came, you remembered and you celebrated a truly great man while he's still in his earthly body. Love to Elliott and his family!

Thank you Jill, you were an important part of the Voice's projected harmonies and you remain such a great spirit.

Save a seat at the Chart Room for me.

What a testimony! Thank you. And as caregiver to my spouse, you got that part right too.

Living across the water as I do, I didn't know of this renaissance man. Thank you so much for making the introduction! When I hear the word "banker," my immediate thought is "Ebenezer Scrooge." I do know there are community-minded bankers out there. Knowing something of Elliott Carr's legacy will raise both my opinion and my expectations. It also reminds me that it's up to us to keep memories alive for those who can't.

Excellent piece as usual.

Thank you!

As another shameless agitator with no filter I miss Elliotts twist of my sarcasm to his genuinely funny humor. Countless meeting hours spent in the back and front rows with Elliott unashamed to be the bad boys in class save to be punctuated by Sue’s discreet eye rolls.

He gets the job done nicely.

Still cherish the beautiful Barns. Cty map book he signed for me and so many others.

Glad he retains his inherent spunk.

Keep up the good work.

Happy Birthday buddy.

Well deserved. Didn’t he attempt to walk around the entire Cape using just the beach? Thoreau style … and he kept running into cranky “my private beach” landowners…

What a magical place we live in here on the Outer Cape, drawing so much talent in so many arts. Elliot Carr stands tall among those, and we are all the better for his visions and effort. Thanks Seth, and Happy Birthday Mr. Carr, wherever you may be.

What a beautifully composed--and illustrated trip down Memory Lane, Seth. May Elliott continue in good spirits.

Sad to read an update on Elliott’s health, but your review of the man is wonderful. Well-written, of course, but bringing back all of his style and accomplishments so vividly. Thanks.
