Great to feature, Seth, and really good that it made it to the National Park site! This looks a lot like the display they've had in the Mashpee Wampanoag Museum for a few years. That may not be open in winter, but is well worth a visit.

Tashtego, one of the harpooners aboard the Pequod in the great American novel "Moby Dick," was a Wampanoag.

Yes, Bryant, big thanks for this. Funny, I went back and re-read the section where Ishmael first meets Queequeg in the New Bedford boarding house but didn't roll on and get to Tashtego. Should have. Now I will. Very best, s

And the third harpooner was Dagoo an African. I think I wrote three papers on Moby Dick in college. Great book.
