Reading this article reminded me of the good old days on Maclean Rd😻 cape cod five actually gave us the loan to get started and was amazing the whole way through. My mom actually got a job there in 1970 when she bought our house from George Marble and she couldn’t quite swing the mortgage so he gave her a job there. I think he was the bank president at that time. I hope that it stays like it was. Miss those Brewster days!
Thank you for this, I’ve been wondering and a bit uncomfortable about it with so little information. Dorothy Savarese did a terrific job of growing CC5 while maintaining its local identity and promoting its charitable giving. Perhaps other locals like me with ties to the bank don’t want to lose our trust in them. I feel better now.
Great bank! Glad the focus will stay on the Cape.
Seth, it’s great to have a local journalist tell a local story that we’ve all been wondering about. Thanks for your good reporting!
