Seth, you did a WONDERFUL job,. When you mentioned the West Brewster/East Brewster link I thought you might be referring to the fact that Herbert Smith of the West Brewster Winslows married May Chapman of the East Brewster Chapmans.
A small correction. The Ethical Culture high school, called Fieldston, and to which students matriculate after graduating from Ethical in Manhattan, is in the Riverdale section of the Bronx.
WONDERFUL job, Seth. When you mentioned the West Brewster/East Brewster connection I thought of the fact that Herbert Smith of the WB Winslows married May Chapman of the EB Chapmans. There were certainly other links over the years in such an isolated area.
Seth, what an incredible connection to dear Ellie. Thank you for highlighting another piece of Brewster’s history. Oppenheimers conflict between science and the impacts to humanity weighed heavily on him.

Many thanks, Winslow, and yes I was!

At the Oppenheimer time it was in Manhattan. The high school moved to Riverdale in 1928.
Thanks for this, as at one time I had relatives living on Fieldston Rd near there, I should have caught that!

Interesting piece. As a Brewster boy, I did not know this.
You never fail to shine light on interesting subjects!
