Seth: I didn’t know this man, Mike Lee—but I wish I had. A fine and fitting tribute. Bill Amamru

Seth, you wrote an extraordinary eulogy for Michael. Thank you. You captured his essence. He and I have been friends since freshman year of Marian High School. I adored his humor, wit and personality, but also agonized over his insecurities and PTSD demons. I read everything he wrote and laughed and cried while doing so. I will remember him always with a smile and a broken heart. I’m sure he’s entertaining the troops now and pain free. Love you MJL.

Thank you Seth for this tribute to Mike. I found myself part of the Night of New Works with, "The Extremes" back in the day. It was so exciting standing in the wings and listening to Mike and Dan's stories (they had written hours before). Yes, the belly laughs. He was kind to me and the girls and loved sharing a pint at the Yardarm after the show. I saw him this Fall when Art Devine picked him up and brought him to my show at Cape Rep. I'm glad I got to give him a warm hug at the end. We all have demons...I'm glad he got to channel his into his writing. Can't wait to read more of his work. Rest now Michael.

Thank you for this beautifully written tribute, Seth! I didn't know Mike well, but I think I was part of his FIRST "Night of New Works" (which included a small handful of either literary or musical NRHS students), at the Academy of Performing Arts in Orleans--back in 1990. I thought Mike had a wonderful energy and spirit, and this eulogy really gives "voice" to that! I truly appreciated Mike's ability to bring so many wonderful Outer Cape artists together, and I hope the fund-raising efforts in honor of his memory bear much fruit. It would be lovely if some kind of scholarship for aspiring writers could also be established in his name! :)
