Texas. I have not been there. Doubt it’s in my future. Thanks for the insight and honesty represented in this encounter. You dont shy away from subject matter do you. I do hope the education piece works out for your kid. She is a lovely person who deserves to have every opportunity the world has to offer. Glad you are with her Seth.
T ruefully, I can not "like" the post/conversation because I realize that so many view us in the East the same way including some close family members. It doesn't make it any easier to stomach such narrow mindedness. Also, I am troubled why a lovely young lady would want to go to school in Texas anyway.
Much appreciate your feedback Steven, and feel your deep concern. That said, I'll add that our visit to the TCU campus was joyful, we met many wonderful and welcoming people, saw great creative opportunities, and engaged with a diverse, talented incoming class, teachers, and administrators. Our daughter is not attending TCU with this intent, nor should she, but if there is a solution to what we're facing, she surely is part of it. So I guess what I'm saying is that the response to narrow mindedness can't inadvertently become the same thing. Last thought for you: Latest polls I saw while we were there said that Beto O'Rourke was within five points of a lead in the gubernatorial race, not a majority but still a whole lotta Texans, right? All the best, thanks again, Seth
Brave man!
